Using intelligent design simulations and input from Wilson advisory staff members, Wilson was able to create a new driver that provides maximum speed and distance.

PKR Face

The D9 has been fine-tuned for added performance, every millimetre of the face has been optimised to get explosive distance off the tee. Wilson Staff engineered the into a series of fractal zones to provide the most forgiveness and ball speed.

[K]omposite Crown

Wilson developed the D9 with a precise head shape and a 3-layered crown, constructed with a mixture of Kevlar and Carbon Fibre materials. Which dynamically reduces weight to lower the centre of gravity for better ball flight, and is lighter for maximum swing speed performance off the tee. The [K]omposite Crown also neutralises vibration, for a crisp sharp sound and incredible feel at ball impact.

Optimized Weighting

The D9 driver has two weighting configurations, with either a 10-gram or superlight 3-gram weight to provide increased MOI for greater forgiveness.

Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue Shaft

The new TENSEI™ CK Series features a multi-material design that optimizes classic, tour-proven MCA GOLF bend profiles in much the same manner as racecar designs use exotic materials to enhance performance and efficiency.
