Jason Day signs multi-year apparel deal with Nike Golf

Jason Day has signed a multi-year apparel deal with Nike Golf, it has been confirmed. The news broke shortly after ushering in the New Year, which means the Australian will begin his surge for glory this season in a range of dapper new outfits.

On Saturday, it was reported that Rory McIlroy will move away from his Nike Golf equipment, starting this month. This news, though not as surprising, is still a coup for the World No. 1 when he joins the Nike Golf team.

According to a press release from Nike Golf, they have signed Day to a multi-year contract that covers footwear, apparel, headwear and gloves. He will also debut his new look this week at the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii.

“Joining Nike is a dream come true,” Day said in the press release. “The brand is synonymous with the world’s best athletes. I’m honoured and can’t wait to be part of the team and working closely with Nike to take my game, and the sport of golf, to even higher levels.”

The announcement was made Sunday through a video released by Nike, as well as an Instagram post by Day.
