Jordan Spieth signs 10-year contract extension with Under Armour

Under Armour has signed Jordan Spieth to a 10-year extension of his contract in what has been described as a “comprehensive” partnership.

Spieth, 21, signed with Under Armour upon turning pro in 2013 and was chosen as the first player to be kitted from the head to toe in Under Armour clothing for competition. And as outlined by the brand, Spieth’s improved contract will include “international marketing, digital, print and social media campaigns.” He will also be heavily involved in the development of Under Armour’s first golf shoe, pencilled in for release this spring.

Spieth expressed his happiness at the extended deal in a release, saying: "I've really enjoyed being on this journey with Under Armour since turning professional, and I can't wait to accomplish great things together in this next phase of my career."

Spieth finished last season in fine form, winning back-to-back competitions in December, first at the Australian Open and then at the Hero World Challenge at Isleworth.

Fans of Jordan Spieth can expect to see him take to the greens for the first time in 2015 at next week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open.
